Shoemaker Family

This is our family blog. Written mostly by Ana, Rich may surprise you with a post now and then. We are a missions minded Christian family with two adorable kids. So both of those will be the majority of the topics of our posts. Enjoy!

Apple Harvest

Monday we went apple picking up in Allentown
with Rich's family. It was a great time with the
kids. Everyone got into the picking. Joey enjoyed the outdoors and the ride to the apple farm and even sucking on some of the apples. Rich, "Farmer Bob" was excited to finally have the perfect outting in which to wear his overalls.
Wednessday we gathered at Mom and Dad's house to make applesauce. About 7 hours later we were finished and the result was a LOT of applesauce. It was delicious. Grandmom also had a big box for the kids to play in, while we waiting for the apples to cook. So in between making applesauce, they pretended they were being "shipped" to different countries. It gave me an idea of how to save on airfare, when we go to work overseas (see pic).
Joey turned 4 months this Wednessday. My big girl! We are starting her on cereal. I'm going to say that right now, she's not such a big fan of it. But hopefully in time, she'll get the hang of it.
Rich is taking his boards on November 11, if you remember, please pray for him to have diligence in preparing for this test, and on the actual day.
God Bless you!
