Shoemaker Family

This is our family blog. Written mostly by Ana, Rich may surprise you with a post now and then. We are a missions minded Christian family with two adorable kids. So both of those will be the majority of the topics of our posts. Enjoy!

Baptism Sunday

The Baptism of our children this Sunday went
really well. Lots of family and friends joined us, as we dedicated Johanna to the Lord and Jacob made a proclamation of faith and became a communicant member. What an amazing time, to see him standing up in front, professing Christ as his Lord and being baptized. Johanna did well with the whole process as well. She loves our Pastor, and stared up at him as he spoke about what it means to dedicate a child and the responsibilities entailed with that. Then Rich spoke briefly, asking the members of our church, family and friends to take their oath seriously, and to really become involved in the lives of our children. It was a time to be treasured. I can also tell you that Johanna had no "blow-outs" and the
dress I crocheted for her made it through the
entire day. Thank you for everyone who was
praying for this day. My cousin came all the way
from Lebanon to be with us, it made the day all
the more special for me.

We tried to get a really good picture of all
the cousins, but the kids were tired. Here's
one of Vivi, Jacob and Joey though. Posted by Picasa
