Texas Update

We had a great time in Texas. The weather was great and the Tandy's were the best hosts. Rich was able to attend all the training this weeked, while I was able to sit in on a few of the talks. All in all, we were very impressed with their dedication to excellency. Their schools are accreditted internationally, and they focus on giving a classical christian education. The villages are very well put together with electricity and running water, etc. The orphans are trained in a vocational trade as soon as they are old enough and the items they make are sold at the Rafiki Exchange (in San Antonio). All the proceeds go to the villages. They really care about the orphans and equipping them to be leaders in their country. It is very exciting work. Rich and I are excited to be a part of it, Lord willing. Rich and Jacob are going with Tenth to Liberia in March. They'll be able to see the village that Rafiki is building. After they get back, we'll have a better idea of our intentions to join them.
Check out the Rafiki website to get more information. www.rafiki-foundation.org

Thanks for all your prayers. Despite the adventures we had with the air travel, Joey did excellently on the planes and while down in Texas.
